I had to laugh about "high profile", as I am anything but that. :) I was simply putting the information out there. I have no problems with any of the work that has been occurring so far and look forward to the completion of the project.

Again, thank you for your input.

Re: William’s Pipeline work digs on

I live in Chester County (E.Fallowfield) and am working on this project.I have done this type of work for 20 years and can say that when we are done with the project things will look a little different than before, but the properties affected will be restored to a degree that will definately impress you. We did a very similar project in the Doylestown area in 07 and I would suggest that anyone who has concerns along these lines take a ride to that area and see for themselves the "after" aspect of one of these jobs. While the workers are not given specific information as to the names of landowners it was rumored that we crossed the properties of some high profile people, and there were concerns before the project and praise after the job was done. I would ask for patience while the work is being done and I'm sure that those affected will be impressed with the final results.

Re: A few changes here

John:
This looks nice! It swept through St. Louis in the past month, too.

I also do most of the cooking, because I find it fun and relaxing. I begged my mom incessantly as a kid to learn, and she taught me. Now she sometimes calls me for advice. Relocation of my office has really hurt my weeknight cooking, but the weekends and special occassions are ALL MINE. I even cooked on my birthday, where we had to explain to everyone that I actually WANTED to do that!

Rock band, been there, too. Still play (at 42) though mainly at our church's weekly contemporary service. Guitars and Keyboards/synths for me. No singing.

Re: Tag your it.

John, thanks for tagging me. Did one of these last year, but it's been quite some time. Anyway, got your comment and I am frightened to know that a little bit more of me is "out there." All these things and more can happen but, amazingly, a much higher percentage of transactions actually close with minimal excitement and fanfare. Thank goodness. I would agree that things are looking good for Chester County and that as a whole we've seen the normal ebb and flow of home sales, with no significant trends up or down. 9 months of inventory is just above what you would call a "normal" market, but that number has fluctuated up and down as well. We're going to see that, but we still have a good market to buy or sell, if it's priced right.

Re: Chester County Stats - June Mid-Month Check

These statistics seem promising no? I would say the percentage is high. The house I was at the other day was 100% (3 groups). If you have an agent, I believe they should be showing you the homes you requested. While I understand the "magnetic pull" an open house can have, at least know how to speak with the agent sitting the open house.

Re: Why are you at this open house?

Thanks for the mind dump John. How many people who already have an agent actually show up to open houses without said agent? what's your guess at the percentage? curious

Re: Buying into a Homeowner’s Association

Folks seem to have a love-hate relatioship with HOA's.
